Design for Screen: Brief Concepts

It'd make sense for me to focus on automotive/transport UI design as that's my ideal future career; it'd be particularly sensible for me to focus on a user interface for Jaguar Land Rover or McLaren, who both offer good graduate positions. Since my ideal position would be at Tesla, Hyperloop, SolarCity or SpaceX it's also worth looking at how to improve their interfaces.

In-car user interface for Tesla Model 3

Brief:
Design the interface for the display(s) within the Model 3. The interfaces must evoke the exciting and unique experience of Tesla's electric cars. The car, and indeed the interface, must have as far-reaching an audience as possible in order to ensure its wide appeal. Tesla are a very highly-respected and influential company with groundbreaking vision and design consciousness. I have to reflect this whilst at the same time creating an experience which is as easy and stress-free to interact with as possible. It must also take into account the advent of autonomous cars, and the future role of the driver.

In-car user interface for Land Rover Discovery
Brief:
Design a heavily practical and on-brand user interface for the display(s) in the Land Rover Discovery. The designs must evoke the explorative and reliable brand image of Land Rover. The Discovery's target audience is mainly men aged between 30-50 who want a reliable, productive and occasionally off-road experience.

User interface for SpaceX Crew Dragon
Brief:
Design the digital displays for use on the Crew Dragon human transport capsule. Must take into account what information would be displayed digitally, and what (mission critical) features would remain physical in case of a screen or system error. Aimed rather obviously at the highly exclusive user base of astronauts. Could be too difficult to do without liaising with those familiar with spaceflight interfaces.

User interface for Hyperloop
Brief:
Design the digital displays for the interior compartment of Hyperloop. Must help to create an exciting, calming, adaptable, fast and universal experience.
