The point of this short project was to explore near-future directions for SpaceX's website. My concept plays off the drama of SpaceX's mission, whilst also using realistic and grounded design elements to give a more achievable and founded aesthetic. The use of large scale photographic imagery gives the launch vehicles a sense of scale and prowess, and the accompanying technical details and specs show the scientific and technical nature of the company (as well as a sense of transparency, which is in opposition with the other major rocket companies). Dark web pages allude to the darkness of space, and the home page, designed to contrast in its lightness, is meant to be more akin to an advanced transport company than a stereotypical rocket company. This allows it to be more accessible to the average consumer rather than the niche enthusiast.
