The blur effect on the cross is meant to be an obvious albeit ambiguous reference to the blue being clear (or not clear)
This design is meant to be reminiscent of a light descending from heaven, such as that with which Jesus would utilise if traversing down to Earth. This links to the 'churches' idea, and the slight blur effect gives the same effect as above.
The window series is meant to represent a metaphor of finding clarity through a distant window. In this particular one, multiple windows are located in descending, equidistant areas to play to the theme of a scrolling through the frames of a photo reel, deeply inferring something coming into frame or focus.
This 'mountain' variant is an evolution of another design which had a pattern which consisted of dozens of straight line 'V's. This is a zoomed in extract of that image, with the upside mountain (or right-way-up crevasse) still creating the figure of a V.
